Send us your book recommendationS!

As much as we love to share our own favorite books with our customers, some of our best recommendations come from customers. During this time, when it’s become harder for us to ask you what you’ve been reading lately (and harder for us to recommend books in person) we would love to gather recommendations from our customers about favorite new or old books.

If you would like to recommend a book for your fellow customers, please enter information about you and the book below, and submit your book recommendation. An ideal book recommendation for us is between 20 and 120 words or so (between two and eight sentences), and says why you liked the book and what kind of readers you think might also enjoy it. (Please no big plot spoilers!) Don’t worry about being a fancy literary book reviewer (unless you want to be!)—just imagine yourself telling a friend about a book you loved.

For every recommendation you submit, we’ll give you a $2 credit toward a future purchase at Phinney Books, up to a maximum of $50 in credits in a year. (Will anybody actually submit 25 reviews?)

We will post submitted customer recommendations on our site and on our store on Bookshop.org (although we can’t promise we’ll post them immediately, and we do reserve the right not to post them for whatever reason). We will only use your first name when we post your recommendation, and we won’t use the email address you give us for anything beyond thanking you and letting you know about your credit.
